First Studio Photo Shoot

Last October I attended a Halloween burlesque show. It was fantastic! And yes, I had my camera with me. I loved the photos I took that night. It fit right in to my photographic style of theatrical and candid. I connected with one of the dancers; stage name Harlow Holiday.

Fast forward almost a year later. My photographer bud Mike began renting studio space in Delavan. He encouraged me from day one to bring anyone in the studio I wanted to photograph. During a recent visit to the studio, I mentioned the connection I made last year with Harlow Holiday. Mike said “contact her!” The next day I did. I DMd her on IG to ask if she would be interested in a photoshoot. She immediately said yes. Sunday, September 15th 2024 was the shoot. I knew nothing about lighting. I had no idea beforehand, what I was going to shoot. All I can say is, Harlow and Mike gave me what I needed, and holy miss moly did we have an amazing time.

To add to my photographic riches, I’ll be shooting the rehearsal and dress rehearsal this week for Syracuse City Ballet’s first performance of the season; “Prologue.” I’m having a blast!
